Automation describes a wide range of technologies that reduce human intervention in processes, namely by predetermining decision criteria, subprocess relationships, and related actions, as well as embodying those predeterminations in machines. Automation has been achieved by various means including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic devices, and computers, usually in combination. As more automated tools have become used in manufacturing plants it has become necessary to model, simulate, and analyze all of the machines, tooling, and input materials in order to optimize the manufacturing process, digital manufacturing is the future of production and automation.
To enhance the communication in the field of automation and intelligence of manufacturing, The 10th International Conference on Digital Manufacturing and Automation (ICDMA 2024) will take place in Changchun, Jilin Province, China during September 20-22, 2024. It aims to bring together researchers, developers, and users in both industry and academia in the world for sharing state-of-art results, for exploring new areas of research and development, and to discuss emerging issues on digital manufacturing and automation.
